Medicom Toy has collaborated once again with the Pollock-Krasner House on a limited-edition BE@RBRICK figurine series. The versions are covered in the late abstract expressionist's instantly recognizable paint spatter designs from head to toe. In March 2018, the two worked on a BE@BRICK figure for the first time. The pair debuted a one-of-a-kind reproduction of the artist's paint spatter artwork in vibrant colors for that release.
Jackson Pollock was a significant player in abstract expressionism, an art movement characterized by free-associative gestures in paint and dubbed "action painting" by many. The majority of artists painted on a vertical or upright surface. Pollock, on the other hand, set himself apart from his predecessors by painting on canvasses that were put out on the floor, allowing him to roam around his work on all four sides. His unique "dripping" technique of constructing compositions with paint from a tube rather than a brush resulted in some of the most dramatic paintings.
