Takashi Murakami

The Andy Warhol of Japan

Takeshi Murakami, known as the "Andy Warhol of Japan," creates his quirky, one-of-a-kind figures and artwork by drawing inspiration from traditional Japanese painting. Murakami blurs the barriers between high art and low culture, East and West, the past and present by using both conventional media, like as painting and sculpture, as well as commercial media, including fashion and animation.

Madsaki Flowers C Pink

White Frame Included

Since Murakami's influence on the Japanese born Street Artist, MADSAKI's popularity and reputation have soared.

In 2017, the two worked on a Silkscreen Print series with a limited edition of only 100 pieces. The series is an urban spin on Takashi Murakami's normally highly polished flowers motif, and comes in four colors (Black, Beige, Pink/Black, and Red), as well as three flower varieties. The end effect is stunning: a stunning contrast between two very distinct styles from two masters of their trade.

2017
