Banksy, the foremost agent provocateur in the art world, sprang to fame as a street artist outside of his own Bristol. In the 1990s, Banksy gave up freehand painting in favor of the stencil because it was a quick and easy way to hide from the authorities and allowed him to swiftly establish himself as a key figure on the global street art scene.

Medicom Toy, a Japanese toy company, has released a collectible based on Banksy's renowned Flower Bomber stencil. The figurine has been made for market after a prototype was shown during the company's annual Tokyo exhibition in June. The toy, designed by PERFECT-STUDIO, is made of polystone and stands 360 mm tall. The final product differs slightly from the all-white prototype displayed in the exhibit, with brilliant colors added to only the flowers, emulating the original artwork's tone.
