Still Life With Pocari Can

White Frame Included

Still Life With Pocari Can is a signed limited edition print released in 2014 in an edition of 50 by French street artist Invader. In this image, one of Invader’s iconic Space Invader characters is seen positioned next to a green apple and a blue can of pocari, a Japanese sports drink. Invader’s Space Invader character is taken directly from an 80s video game of the same name, designed by Tomohiro Nishikado in Japan. Given Invader’s love for this computer game, his fascination with other aspects of Japanese consumer culture was born; hence imagery and objects from Japan reappear across his works on paper.
